How Orami Increased Its Efficiency

Orami prisync case study

About the Client

Orami.co.th is a South Asia based company that has started selling baby products under the name of Bilna in late 2012. Then, in 2014 they merged with a company named Moxy and changed their name to Orami. Today, they are selling their products for women mostly but they have also categories like electronics, pets in their webshop.

According to their current numbers, they have over half a million visitors on a monthly basis and their sales amount per day is about $120.000.

In this case study, Aditya – head of product at Orami – explained their situation by comparing before Prisync vs after Prisync.

Problems Before Prisync

Aditya said ”Before Prisync, we were tracking just our top selling products, maximum 1000, manually. And just for this purpose, 16 employees were responsible. It was very time consuming and not effective for us.

Their pain is very similar to any e-commerce company that wants to keep track of competitor prices. It’s definitely hard to track this manually if you have a lot of products and competitors.

Aditya added that ”Although we had 16 employees for this, we were missing a lot of opportunities as we were able to track just our top products.”

Results After Prisync

With Prisync, we’re now much more effective for competitor price tracking operations. At the moment, we have just 4 employees for this operation which is 25% of the previous number.

He also explained their current situation as “We’re now able to make a decision much faster than before thanks to Prisync’s reports as we’re able to compare our prices vs competitors’ prices easily”.

One of the other important values they’ve got from Prisync was to scale up the number of tracked products to 20K instead of just top products. In a nutshell, one person was able to track 62 products per month continuously before Prisync. Now that number is 5000 per person which is almost 80x better than previously!

Aditya also stated that ”We’re now also able to see the products that we’re unnecessarily cheaper than our competitors and this helps us increase our prices by still staying cheapest one which means an increase in our profit margins”.

He concluded our interview by saying “Prisync covers all the products that we want to track and it’s the best solution according to price/value relationship”.
